Ed passed away peacefully on Jan. 7, 2018. He was 95 years old. Ed was born in Chicago Aug. 14, 1922, to Joseph and Anna Tomasek. He attended Crane High School and DeVry Technical Institute. On Sept. 7, 1946, Ed married his childhood sweetheart Josephine Vozar in Chicago. Even after the family moved to Phoenix in 1960, he remained an ardent Cubs fan for life. He was preceded in death by his parents, devoted wife Jo, granddaughter Sabrina, great grandsons Colt and Bronx, and two sons-in-law, Troy Dugger and Marvin Francoeur. Ed...

Ed passed away peacefully on Jan. 7, 2018. He was 95 years old. Ed was born in Chicago Aug. 14, 1922, to Joseph and Anna Tomasek. He attended Crane High School and DeVry Technical Institute. On Sept. 7, 1946, Ed married his childhood sweetheart Josephine Vozar in Chicago. Even after the family moved to Phoenix in 1960, he remained an ardent Cubs fan for life. He was preceded in death by his parents, devoted wife Jo, granddaughter Sabrina, great grandsons Colt and Bronx, and two sons-in-law, Troy Dugger and Marvin Francoeur. Ed is survived by his special friend Nancy, his six children: Barb Geer (Jim), Judy Dugger, Nancy Francoeur, Ed (Rosie), Bill (Wanda), and Rob, 24 grandchildren and many more great grandchildren. Ed was a long-time member of Saints Simon & Jude Catholic Church where he coached youth sports, worked many Fri. night bingos, and developed a network of good friends. He worked at Honeywell Industrial Automation Division for 23 years, again making lifelong friends. He retired in 1984. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 330 W. Coral Gables, Sat., Jan. 13, at 12 noon. A reception will follow at the Church of Light and Life, 15220 N. 39th Ave. (W. Greenway Road).
