Judy was born January 3, 1939 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and adopted by two loving parents; Albert and Julia Peterson. Pete was a police officer for 32 years and Julia was an accomplished china painter and gardener.

Judy graduated for Colorado State University in 1961 and began a long career working in the field of medical records. She served as Director of Medical Records at Penrose Hospital. For a year, she served as a volunteer on the SS Hope Ship in Columbia. She taught medical records as...

Judy was born January 3, 1939 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and adopted by two loving parents; Albert and Julia Peterson. Pete was a police officer for 32 years and Julia was an accomplished china painter and gardener.

Judy graduated for Colorado State University in 1961 and began a long career working in the field of medical records. She served as Director of Medical Records at Penrose Hospital. For a year, she served as a volunteer on the SS Hope Ship in Columbia. She taught medical records as she learned to speak Spanish.

She later went to Guatemala to work in a small village to work in a small village to help residents develop and learn skills to earn incomes. There she helped establish a bakery. A courageous traveler, she spent a year in Australia and island hopped her way back home, staying in hostels along the way.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Edwin Boyd and her parents Albert and Julia Peterson. She is survived by her brother Robert Peterson of Lincoln, Nebraska and sister-in-law Marilyn, brother-in-law Bob Boyd and JoAnn, niece Mardie Louis and nephew Mike Peterson.

No visitation. Cremation. Private burial later in Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
