Karen Kaye Kimmell passed away peacefully in her Phoenix Arizona home on May 10, 2016. Karen was born on August 30, 1950 in Phoenix, Arizona. Karen is survived by her daughter Tiffany Kimmell, her mother Emily Kimmell, and her sister Georgana Frieh. Karen had a long career in Real Estate and was a licensed Broker. Karen and her father Bill Kimmell opened Kimmell Realty and worked with her father at Kimmell Realty. Karen Kaye Kimmell passed away peacefully in her Phoenix Arizona home on May 10, 2016. Karen was born on August 30, 1950 in Phoenix, Arizona. Karen is survived by her daughter Tiffany Kimmell, her mother Emily Kimmell, and her sister Georgana Frieh. Karen had a long career in Real Estate and was a licensed Broker. Karen and her father Bill Kimmell opened Kimmell Realty and worked with her father at Kimmell Realty. Karen was an expert Greek baker and cooked for many years for the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Karen privately operated her own Greek catering company and catered for private events in the Phoenix Arizona area. She cooked for all family gatherings and holidays for the family. No one could make specialty Greek cuisine and baked goods like Karen. She loved to scuba dive and loved the ocean. She was a lover of birds and animals. She was an active member in the National Charity League Phoenix Chapter with her daughter Tiffany. She loved to take road trips and loved to travel to Rock Springs Café and Prescott, Arizona with her daughter Tiffany. She was in the Maids of Athena in the order of AHEPA (American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association). She was an active member in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and participated and was the Dance Group Director for a year. She was a mother with a sense of humor, and a free spirit. She was hospitable and always welcoming to all as well as a mother to all. There will be a visitation at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary 710 W Bethany Home Rd on Wednesday May 18, 2016 beginning at 6pm to 8pm with a Trisagion Service beginning at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 10am, May 19, 2016 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral 1973 E Maryland Ave Phoenix, AZ. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, Phoenix, AZ.
